We are proud to be the first in Canada to offer the very special Limited Edition Noguchi Naohiko 01 2018 Vintage sake by Naohiko Noguchi, revered as “The God of Sake”. With only 5,500 bottles produced, this legendary vintage is one-of-a-kind that is highly coveted by sake enthusiasts in Japan and worldwide.

Master Brewer

Mr. Naohiko Noguchi (90 years old) is a living legendary sake Master Brewer who has been pursuing the art of sake making for over seven decades and returned to the sake industry in 2017 since his second retirement in 2015. In 2008, he was awarded the “Ohjuhoushou” (黄綬褒章) for his distinguished achievement as a sake Master Brewer from the government of Japan.

This Limited Edition Noguchi Naohiko 01 2018 Vintage was personally handpicked by Mr. Noguchi and was released only after a meticulous aging process in which the sake was aged at low temperature for more than half a year before being bottled in late 2019 and then continued its aging until its current release. The bottle used was specially designed by Mr. Toshio Ohi, a very famous artist in Ishikawa Prefecture, the 11th generation of Ohi ware in Kanazawa that has a history of more than 350 years.

This aged Japanese sake has a gorgeous aroma reminiscent of peaches and apples, and when you put it in your mouth, you can feel the thick and elegant sweetness condensed by long-term low-temperature aging with a sharp, and long aftertaste.
